The company is the main distributor for the non oil & gas business in central and northern Europe for USA based Spectrex Inc. 

Spectrex is the world leader in the development and implementation of optical flame and gas detection and suppression systems of unequalled quality and performance.

For over 25 years, Spectrex has been providing the market with detection and suppression systems and products to the highest customers' requirements for reliability, quality and operation in extremely tough environments.

Armored Vehicle Fire and Explosion Suppression
Spectrex Automatic Fire Extinguishing (SAFE) System is the leading armored vehicle fire and explosion suppression system installed in more than 9,000 tanks and armored vehicles worldwide, including over 30,000 optical flame detectors. Spectrex is also committed to the needs of fire safety and the environment. To these ends, new methods and agents that provide environment-friendly, highly efficient and powerful fire extinguishing capabilities are being developed. 

Powdered Aerosol Systems and Propellant Extinguishing Agent Technology
Desu Systems BV has also obtained the rights to distribute GreenEX Powdered Aerosol Systems (PAG) and Propellant Extinguishing Agent Technologies (PEAT) within various European countries. GreenEX is a UK based manufacturer of powdered aerosol systems, marketed under the GreenEX PAG brand name. It's PEAT technology is being marketed under the GreenEX PML (Propelled Mini Launcher) brand name.

Powdered Aerosol Systems
Powdered Aerosols are an environment friendly agent with Zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP). They are Non-toxic, Non-suffocating and have Zero contribution to the Global Warming effect (GWP). The agent does not damage sensitive equipment since it is a dry, non-corrosive chemical. Powdered Aerosol systems are very cost efficient - the agent requires minimal casing with no need for pressurized cylinders and extensive piping, thus significantly reducing installation, storage and application cost (Life Cycle Cost efficient).

Propellant Extinguishing Agent Technologies
The PML technology offers a novel approach of dispersing extinguishing agents, including liquids, foams and solid powders, employing propelling energy to pulverize and discharge the extinguishing agents over large areas. The versatility and simplicity of these systems provide the fire extinguishing market with cost-effective, fast-response, safer and larger area coverage than do traditional systems.

The extinguishing dry powder agents are propelled from these special devices which discharge a mass of 100-500 gr powder in less than 0.1 sec, creating a fine particulate cloud (20-50 microns) over a large area. The powder stream is directional in a "cloud" form that propagates very fast in the protected volume, penetrating the fire zone and preventing fire propagation.

For the Benelux, Germany, UK and Israel Desu Systems BV was appointed exclusive distributor/installer for Safety First International of Canada, a supplier of private brand label Restaurant Fire Suppression Systems.
