20/20-310, 311, 312 & 313 Fire Simulators

The Spectrex Long-Range Flame Simulator allows testing of optical flame detectors in areas where real fires cannot be ignited. Testing is also mandatory in some industries to 'proof test ' flame detector operation, to satisfy statutory requirements.

Testing optical flame detectors, after they have been installed, can be a difficult task with the associated cost and time, often requiring special ladders /scaffolding to reach the detectors, which are generally located near the ceiling or in a high position.

Long Range Flame Simulators are handheld devices, specifically designed for use with the various SharpEye Optical Flame Detectors to test their response to fire from a distance of several feet (meters), without the need to actually ignite a fire in front of the detector or to reach the detector itself (no physical contact).

Model selection:

  • 20/20-310 Flame Simulator is used for the Triple IR (IR3) Flame Detectors models:                           40/40I, 40/40M, 20/20I, 20/20XI, 20/20SI, 20/20MI, 20/20FI, 20/20CTIN and CTIP.
  • 20/20-311 Flame Simulator is used for the UV/IR Flame Detectors models:                                       40/40L-LB, 40/40L4-L4B, 20/20L-LB, 20/20ML and 20/20F and UV Flame Detectors 40/40U-UB and 20/20U-UB.
  • 20/20-312 Flame Simulator is used for the Single IR Flame Detector models 40/40R and 20/20R.
  • 20/20-313 Flame Simulator is used for Hydrogen Flame Detector models 40/40M and 20/20SH.
